After launching the Redmi Note 10S globally in March, the phone was launched in India today. So this now means there are four phones under the Note 10 series in India – Note 10, Note 10S, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. The Note 10S sits between the Redmi Note 10 & Note 10 Pro when it comes to the pricing, as the price starts at Rs 14,999. So what upgrades does it bring over the Redmi Note 10? Well, there is an upgraded 64 Megapixel sensor and MediaTek Helio G95 chipset.
It is the same phone as the Redmi Note 10 except for the chipset and the primary rear camera. There is the same 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch-sampling rate, the same 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, the same 13 Megapixel selfie shooter, the same three cameras except for the primary sensor on the rear, and even the same design.
The differences are a 64MP primary rear camera instead of a 48MP sensor and an Helio G95 SOC instead of Snapdragon 678.
So, is the price justified? Well, if someone wants to go for the Redmi Note 10S for Rs 14,999, then our advice will be to spend Rs 1,000 extra and get the Redmi Note 10 Pro instead since that is a much better deal with a 120Hz AMOLED panel and Snapdragon 732G SOC. Anyways, the Note 10S will go on sale on the 18th of May. The 6GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999 and the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs 15,999.
