Today, Redmi Note 10 Pro was launched in the Chinese market, and in typical Xiaomi fashion, the Chinese version offers impressive features for a super aggressive price tag. Apart from the name, the Chinese version is a completely different phone when compared to what we got globally. The price in China starts at 1,499 Yuan or $235, and at this price, this phone is offering the flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G chipset, a 120Hz LCD protected with Gorilla Glass Victus, 67W fast charging, UFS 3.1 storage, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, and more. This once again shows the great value for money users in the company’s home market get compared to markets outside China.
Design-wise, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a premium look to it, and there is a 3D texture on the rear, which helps reduce fingerprints. The big camera module has three cameras in it, and while it looks like one of the cameras has a periscope lens, there isn’t. The fingerprint scanner and the volume buttons are on the right side, and on the front, there is a flat display with a hole punch in the center. Note 10 Pro has stereo speakers where the primary speaker is on the bottom and the second one on the top. These speakers are tuned by JBL, and software-wise, there is Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and Hi-Res Wireless Audio.
One of the most impressive things about this phone is the fact that it has Gorilla Glass Victus on top of the display panel for protection. This is the toughest Gorilla Glass ever made, which we have seen on premium flagships such as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Mi 11 series, etc. The panel it is protecting is a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch-sampling rate, and 450 nits of brightness.
Under the hood, Redmi Note 10 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G SOC which is built on the 6nm manufacturing process and is a high-end chip by MediaTek. The octa-core CPU has powerful Cortex-A78 cores, and for great graphics performance, there is a 9-core GPU. Yet another impressive thing about this phone is that it has UFS 3.1 storage, something which we do not see in phones at this price range. The RAM is still LPDDR4X, though.
The triple camera system on the back includes a primary 64 Megapixel shooter paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2 Megapixel macro camera, so there isn’t anything special about this camera system. On the front, the Note 10 Pro has a 16 Megapixel shooter. The rear camera can shoot 4K videos at up to 30fps, whereas the front camera can shoot up to 1080p 30fps videos.
There is also VC Liquid Cooling which makes it the first phone under the Redmi Note series to have Liquid Cooling.
