The Redmi K80 series is here, and it brings two new flagships under Redmi’s arsenal. Both the Redmi K80 & Redmi K80 Pro are powered by Qualcomm chipsets, one with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 & the other with Snapdragon 8 Elite. The pricing of the two phones is quite aggressive, and for the features that they pack, these are superb value-for-money flagships from the brand.
REDMI K80
Starting with the vanilla model, the Redmi K80 features a circular camera module on the rear with a dual camera setup. The back has a two-tone finish where one half has a matte finish while the other half has a glossy finish. The phone has a flat metal frame, stereo speakers, and IP68 certification.
Under the hood, the phone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. There is a massive 6,550mAh battery with 90W wired charging. The phone uses Xiaomi’s Surge P3 and Surge G1 chipsets to manage charging.
The display uses an OLED panel from TCL, and it is a 6.67-inch 120Hz panel with a Quad-HD+ resolution, 3200 nits local peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 1800 nits HBM brightness, and 2560Hz PWM dimming. The panel is protected with Gorilla Glass 7i and there is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.
Speaking of cameras, the Redmi K80 has a primary camera with a 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor, a large f/1.6 aperture lens, and OIS. The second camera is for ultrawide photos and uses an 8MP sensor. The primary camera can shoot up to 8K videos at 24fps. For selfies, there is a 20MP sensor with 1080p 60fps video recording support. For better image processing, there is Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 under the hood.
Finally, the phone runs on HyperOS out of the box.

The performance is handled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and there is a smaller 6,000mAh battery in the Pro model. While the battery is smaller, the phone supports faster 120W wired charging, and there is also 50W wireless charging support.
The camera setup includes a primary 1/1.55″ 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor, the same as the vanilla model. The ultrawide camera is upgraded and uses a 32MP sensor.
