Redmi K70E to launch this month with Dimensity 8300-ULTRA

Redmi has started sharing the details of the phone on Weibo!

In December last year, the Redmi K60E was launched in China with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, a big 5,500mAh battery, and a 120Hz Quad-HD+ OLED display. The phone was launched at a starting price of ¥2199 (~$310).

The brand is now preparing for the launch of the Redmi K70 series and the company has started sharing the details of Redmi K70E on Weibo. This will be the most affordable phone under the K70 series.

The Redmi K70E is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-ULTRA chipset, a tweaked version of the recently launched Dimensity 8300. This is quite a flagship-grade chipset, with AnTuTu scores over 1.5 Million points. Compared to the Dimensity 8200, the Dimensity 8300 offers a 20% faster CPU, a 60% faster GPU, and a 330% faster AI performance.

The phone has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The battery size remains the same at 5,500mAh but the charging speed has increased to 90W from 67W. Despite having a large battery, the thickness is 8.05mm, even less than the Redmi K60E (8.5mm).

While the K60E had a Quad-HD+ OLED display, the Redmi K70E has a 1.5K OLED display. The peak brightness is 1800 nits, up from 1200 nits. The panel also gets 12-bit color depth, compared to 8-bit last year. Finally, the panel has 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. There is an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K70E has a 5000mm² stainless steel Vapor Chamber for better cooling. This was seen in the Redmi K60 & K60 Pro last year. Finally, HyperOS runs out of the box.

Well, the Redmi K70E has an impressive spec sheet and we can only imagine what the Redmi K70 & Redmi K70 Pro are bringing. Stay tuned for more updates as the company has not yet announced the launch date and more details will be shared by the brand on Weibo.
