The Redmi K70 Series is all set to launch in China on November 29 and recently, we discussed the Redmi K70E, the most affordable phone under this series. Alongside that phone, we are also getting the Redmi K70 & Redmi K70 Pro, the successors to the Redmi K60 & K60 Pro.
If you follow Redmi then you know that the company likes to share the details and images of its upcoming phones a few days before the official launch. Well, today, Redmi shared the official images of the K70 Pro, giving us our first official look at the design. We won’t be surprised if the other two phones under this series have the same design as the Pro model.
The Redmi K70 Pro has a redesigned camera module which is completely different than what we saw on the Redmi K60 series. This time, Redmi went for a transparent glass design for the camera module and this glass goes from one side to the other. There are four circles in this camera module, where three have camera sensors and the fourth circle has the LED flash.
We have seen a similar camera module design on a lot of Poco phones so we won’t be surprised if the Redmi K70 Pro launches globally as a Poco device.
Redmi shared the images of the two color options – Black and White. The camera module says “50MP OIS” and “2x Optical” meaning there is a 50MP sensor for the primary camera with OIS and the phone also has a telephoto camera with 2x Optical Zoom. For comparison, the Redmi K60 Pro had a 2MP macro camera instead of a telephoto camera. There is a flat metal frame.
Redmi also shared a few specifications of the phone. The Redmi K70 Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and has a 6.67-inch Quad-HD+ display. The width of the phone is reduced to 74.9mm (from 75.4mm). Redmi also talks about a new cooling system in the phone but we don’t know much about it yet.
Redmi will share more details in the coming days so stay tuned.
