Earlier this month, we learned that the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra (aka Redmi K60 Extreme Edition) has the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset and an independent display chip from Pixelworks. But, the company did not share the design of the phone. However, Redmi has given us our first look at the design today. The launch is scheduled on August 14, and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is also launching at the same event.
Redmi K60 Ultra comes in at least two colors – Black & Green. The Black color option has a carbon fiber finish under the back glass, whereas the Green option has a smooth glass back without any texture or pattern. The camera module design is slightly changed from the other K60 series devices. We can also see the “50MP” text, indicating the primary camera has a 50MP sensor. For comparison, the Redmi K50 Ultra / Redmi K50 Extreme Edition had a 108MP Samsung HM6 sensor.
Redmi also revealed that the phone will feature up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, which seems to be the new trend among Chinese phone makers. On the front is a flat panel with a hole punch cutout in the center.
Redmi K60 Ultra / K60 Extreme Edition has a 1.5K 144Hz OLED display, Dimensity 9200+ chipset, Pixelworks X7 display chip, a 50MP camera with f/1.7 aperture, a plastic frame, and a glass back.
