Redmi K50i set to launch in India on the 20th of July

It is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro/Pro+

The Redmi K50i is launching in the Indian market on the 20th of July, and in case you don’t know, this is not the first time we heard this name. In fact, earlier, when the Poco X4 GT had not yet launched, there were reports that the same phone would launch in the Indian market as the K50i. And well, now, the company has officially confirmed the name and also the fact that this is just a rebrand of the Redmi Note 11T Pro/Pro+, which launched in China in May.

There were reports of the K50i Pro with a 108MP camera, but Redmi did not say anything about a Pro version. Anyways, assuming that the rumors of a Note 11T Pro/Pro+ rebrand are true, the Redmi K50i is coming with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G SOC. It is paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is a 6.6-inch display, and it is a 144Hz IPS LCD with a Full-HD+ resolution and Dolby Vision + HDR10 support.

There are three cameras on the rear – a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP sensor.

Finally, regarding the battery size, we are not yet sure since that is the main difference between Note 11T Pro & Note 11T Pro+. The Note 11T Pro has a 5,080mAh battery, whereas the Note 11T Pro+ has a 4,400mAh battery. Moreover, the Note 11T Pro supports 67W charging, whereas Note 11T Pro+ supports 120W charging. So, we will have to wait for more leaks and reports to know which one of these two combinations the Redmi K50i has.

Regarding the price, the Redmi Note 11T Pro launched in China at ¥1799, which translates to around ₹21,000. Of course, Redmi won’t launch the phone at this price in India, but we are expecting the price to be about ₹25,000.
