In our previous article, we talked about the Redmi K40 which launched at a starting price of 1,999 Yuan, offering impressive hardware. Alongside this, we also got the Redmi K40 Pro & K40 Pro+. The biggest difference between these and the vanilla K40 is the chipset. While we got the Snapdragon 870 with the K40, K40 Pro & K40 Pro+ pack the Snapdragon 888 which is the most powerful chipset by Qualcomm right now. Just like the K40, Redmi has kept the price of K40 Pro super aggressive in the Chinese market since it starts at just 2,799 Yuan or around $435. The K40 Pro+ is priced at 3,699 Yuan or around $573.

Redmi K40 Pro

Design-wise, there is no difference between the vanilla K40 and the K40 Pro or K40 Pro+. All three phones feature Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and rear, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, a flat display with hole-punch in the center, no 3.5mm headphone jack. Stereo speakers and a Triple camera setup on the rear. In fact, when we compare the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+, the only difference between the two is in terms of the cameras since both have the same screen, same chipset, same battery, and same charging speeds.

Both phones have a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 1300 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is Snapdragon 888 chipset and both phones have a 4,520mAh battery with 33W Fast charging support.

Speaking of the cameras, there are three on the rear on both phones but the primary sensor is different on the two. While Redmi K40 Pro has a 64 Megapixel primary camera, the K40 Pro+ gets a 108 Megapixel sensor. Apart from the primary sensor, other cameras are the same. So there is an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera and a 5 Megapixel macro camera. Both phones have a 20 Megapixel selfie camera.
