A month after the global launch of Xiaomi Mi 10T Series, the Mi 10T was launched in China today under the Redmi brand. It launched as the Redmi K30S & except for the branding, everything is the same as the Mi 10T, from the design to the specs. In China, the price starts at ¥2599, which translates to around ₹28,600 or €327.
As we know already, the Mi 10T launched in the European market at a starting price of €499 & in the Indian market at ₹35,999. So there is a pretty significant difference in the pricing for China & the rest of the markets. Also, it is worth mentioning that in China, the base variant comes with 8GB RAM & 128GB storage whereas, in Europe & India, the base variant has 6GB RAM & 128GB storage.
There is no change in the design as the Redmi K30S has the same triple camera setup design on the rear & a hole-punch design on the front. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the right side & there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the phone. In China, the K30S comes in Cosmic Black & Lunar Silver colors. So there is no change in the color options as well.
The device features a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD with 144Hz refresh rate & Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM & 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. There is a 5,000mAh battery underneath along with 33W Fast Wired Charging.
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 64 Megapixel shooter with Sony IMX682 sensor, a secondary 13 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, & a 5 Megapixel macro camera. The primary camera can shoot 8K videos at 24/30fps & 4K videos at 30/60fps. On the front, Redmi K30S has a 20 Megapixel selfie camera that can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
