Redmi K30 teaser reveals side fingerprint scanner & 64MP camera

Yesterday, we talked about the design of Redmi K30 from the rear, which was revealed by the official promo image. Now, some more teasers have been posted on the company’s Weibo page, which reveal more details related to the device. Today, a Redmi K30 teaser confirmed that there is a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The teaser tells us the Standalone & Non-Standalone 5G on the Redmi K30 but also gives us a look at the phone from the side. We can clearly see that there is a fingerprint reader on the right side & the absence of a power button suggests the fingerprint scanner doubles as a power button.

That’s not it. The teaser also reveals that the primary rear camera is a 64 Megapixel shooter. We can see the “64MP AI Super Camera” text on one side of the camera setup & “Designed by Redmi” text on the other. Below the camera module, there is “5G” text, which obviously means there is 5G support.

So, one thing that’s clear from the latest Redmi K30 teaser is that there is a 120Hz LCD display instead of an AMOLED panel. If there was an AMOLED panel, the phone would have got an in-display fingerprint scanner for sure since the Redmi K20 has it.
