Redmi K30 live images leak, coming with 120Hz display

A month back, we got our first official look at the Redmi K30, at least from the front. We got to know that it is going to be a 5G phone from the brand with a hole-punch display & dual selfie cameras. So far, we have got a lot of leaks & rumors related to the device, but today, the first hands-on images of the K30 leaked via Weibo, which revealed a couple of interesting details.

The images reveal that the Redmi K30 has a 120Hz display & that means Redmi is jumping straight to 120Hz from 60Hz. That would be a huge upgrade. Still, it is most likely an LCD panel instead of an AMOLED one since the Redmi K30 is most likely coming with a side-facing fingerprint scanner if a report from XDA is to be believed. It is a 6.66-inch Full-HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio & a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

The hands-on images also reveal that the GPU is Adreno 618, which is the GPU found in Snapdragon 730/730G SOC. But since the Redmi K30 is confirmed to support 5G, it is most likely coming with the unannounced Snapdragon 735, the rumored specs of which have already been shared with us.

Redmi K30 is confirmed to launch next month, but that doesn’t mean the phone will go on sale the same month. Most likely, that would happen at the beginning of 2020.
