We already know a lot about the Redmi K30 5G that’s launching on December 10th in China. We know that it is coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SOC, side-facing fingerprint scanner, Quad camera setup on the rear with 64MP Primary camera, a hole-punch display & a 4,500mAh battery with 30W Fast Charging support.
Now, it is well known that 5G isn’t available everywhere. So obviously, launching the K30 5G in those regions makes no sense. Well, Redmi K30 4G is launching alongside the K30 5G & this was revealed by Redmi’s General Manager on Weibo today.
Lu Weibing said that if users think the Redmi K30 5G is too expensive, they can opt for the 4G version, which is relatively cheaper. While it cannot be said if the 4G version has the same specifications as the 5G version, it would definitely not have the same SOC i.e., Snapdragon 765G. It is the SOC that is for mid-range 5G phones since there is an integrated 5G modem.
Redmi K30 4G might launch with Snapdragon 730G, which is a slight upgrade over the Snapdragon 730. Moreover, it might have some downgrades compared to the 5G version like 27W Fast Charging support instead of 30W, but those are not yet confirmed. As for the price, we can expect the price to be around 2000 Yuan in China.
