Redmi 9A with 5,000mAh battery teased, launching on February 11

Today Realme C3 launched in India as the latest entry-level smartphone from the brand. The phone has some excellent specs for the starting price of Rs 6,999 like the MediaTek Helio G70 SOC, Dual cameras, mini-drop display, a 5,000mAh battery, etc. As we know, Redmi & Realme are the two major competitors & whatever one brand launches, the other tries to offer something better than it.

Now that the C3 is official in India, it looks like Redmi is gearing up for the launch of its entry-level phone that is most probably the Redmi 9A. Interestingly, the Redmi 8A launched less than five months earlier in India.

While the teasers of this upcoming smartphone don’t reveal the name, we are sure that it is a phone under the Redmi 9 series. In fact, the tagline (Desh ka Dumdaar Smartphone) is similar to that of Redmi 8A (Smart Desh ka Dumdaar smartphone).

Some features that the teasers have already revealed include a dual-camera setup on the rear (compared to a single camera on the Redmi 8A), a 5,000mAh battery & a new design on the back for a better grip. Considering the specifications of Redmi 8A, it won’t be a surprise if Redmi 9A comes with a USB Type-C port, Gorilla Glass 5 protection & 18W Fast Charging support.

Let’s wait for some more details on this upcoming device from Redmi.
