The ‘Prime’ series by Redmi is known for value-for-money budget phones, and today, we got two new phones under this series – Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G. The former is the successor to Redmi 10 Prime, whereas the latter is the first phone under this series with 5G support. In this article, we will talk about the 5G version of the Redmi 11 Prime long story short, it is a rebadged Redmi Note 11E that launched in China in March. This also means it is the same phone as the Poco M4 5G but under the Redmi brand.
The phone comes with “EVOL. Design,” which is just another fancy term Xiaomi uses to describe the design of some of its phones. The camera module has two rings, each having a camera sensor. The sides of the phone are flat, and there is a textured back panel with a matte finish. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button on the side. The 3.5mm headphone jack is present on the top, alongside which is the IR blaster.
The phone supports 5G, thanks to the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SOC. This chip is paired with 4GB or 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. There is a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone has only two rear cameras – a 50MP primary and a 2MP secondary. For selfies, it has an 8MP sensor in the waterdrop notch.
The display size is 6.58-inch, and it is an IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. Finally, MIUI 13 runs out of the box, which is Android 12-based.
