Realme XT specs revealed, Snapdragon 712 & 64MP camera in tow

At the Realme 5 Series launch event in India, the company revealed that it would launch a 64MP camera phone named Realme XT in September. Today, the phone finally showed up in the wild as the company has started sending the units to the Content Creators. Moreover, the specifications of the phone were revealed via Weibo that suggest it is not any flagship as many rumours were claiming that.

Starting off with the design first, the Realme XT features a design similar to the Realme 5 Pro. So, there is a vertically placed Quad Camera setup on the rear & a display with a waterdrop notch on the front. Now, the back is not plastic but glass this time as per the sources. Moreover, there is an in-screen fingerprint scanner, something that we have on the Realme X as well.

Unlike the Realme X, however, the XT doesn’t feature a pop-up selfie camera & hence, a full-screen design. So, it is simply Realme 5 Pro with a 64MP camera, Glass back & AMOLED screen.

Coming to the specifications, the Realme XT has a 6.4-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SOC, 4/6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge, 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor on the rear, HyperBoost 2.0, Color OS 6 & a 16MP front-facing camera.

The camera setup consists of a primary 64MP camera with Samsung GW1 sensor, a secondary 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro lens & a 2MP depth sensor. So, except for the primary camera, the camera setup is the same as Realme 5 Pro.

Well, we were expecting the Realme XT to be a competition to the Redmi K20, but that’s not going to happen. We don’t think there will be much of a difference in the pricing of Realme XT & Realme 5 Pro in India. What is your take on the design & the specifications of the phone?
