Realme is preparing to unveil a new phone, and it bears the model number “RMX3366”. While we are not sure about the official name of the phone, it is said to be the Realme X9 Pro. The device was spotted on TENAA recently which is a Chinese certification agency. The listing reveals the design of the phone and also its major specifications. These specifications show that it is going to be a flagship phone from the brand.
Speaking of the design first, the alleged Realme X9 Pro looks very similar to Oppo’s Reno series phones with that camera module design on the rear and the curved display on the front. The camera module includes a triple camera setup. This triple-camera array includes a primary 50 Megapixel shooter with the Sony IMX766 sensor, a secondary 16 Megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2 Megapixel sensor, most likely for macro shots. There is a hole-punch cutout on the front that has the single 32 Megapixel camera in it.
Under the hood, Realme “RMX3366” gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SOC which might not be as powerful as the Snapdragon 888, but still, it is a very popular choice among smartphone makers for their flagships. TENAA reveals that the phone will be offered with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM & 128GB/256GB/512GB storage configurations. The panel on the front is a 6.55-inch AMOLED with Full-HD+ resolution.
Now, the listing mentions the battery to be 2,200mAh, but as we know, Realme uses the dual-cell technique to put the battery in its phones that support their SuperDart charging. This means the RMX3366 has a 4,400mAh battery (assuming the other cell is of the same size).
A user on Weibo shared the specifications of the Realme X9 Pro that is expected to launch soon in China, and these specs are similar to what TENAA revealed. The source went even more in-depth than TENNA and shared that the panel is a Samsung’s E3 Super AMOLED, and there is LPDDR4X RAM along with UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 4,500mAh, and the phone supports 65W fast charging. Along with the IMX766 sensor, there is a secondary IMX481 sensor for ultrawide shots. The third 2 Megapixel camera is for B&W shots. Both the front and the back are having Gorilla Glass 5, and there is a 6000-series aluminum frame. Some other features include Dolby Atmos, Z-Axis linear motor, NFC, and 5G.
The expected starting price of this phone is 2,699 Yuan which translates to around $422. But that’s just an assumption, so the pricing could be different.
And that’s not it! The source even said that there are two variants of the Realme X9 Pro, one with the Snapdragon 870 & the other with Dimensity 1200. The one with Dimensity 1200 is launching globally as the OnePlus Nord 2, so that’s interesting.
Well, we don’t know when this phone is launching, so we’ll have to wait for some official announcement from Realme itself.
