Realme X7 & Realme X7 Pro launched in the Indian market

Both feature the Dimensity series chipsets from MediaTek

Realme X7 series is finally official in the Indian market after a ton of teasing. As we already knew, there are two phones under this series named the Realme X7 & Realme X7 Pro, where the former is a 5G mid-ranger while the latter is an upper mid-range device. One of the interesting things about these two phones is that they feature the Dimensity series SOCs from MediaTek. While the names are similar, both of these are not the same phones as in China. The X7 in India is available in China as the Realme V15 5G. Speaking of the price, X7 starts at Rs 19,999, whereas the X7 Pro at Rs 29,999.

Speaking of the X7 first, it has a display with a single hole-punch cutout on the top left corner, a triple camera setup on the rear, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a Type-C port on the bottom. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone, but that’s not surprising since the Realme V15 5G launched without a headphone jack in the Chinese market.

On the front, there is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution & a 60Hz refresh rate. The touch-sampling-rate is 180Hz, and the peak brightness is 600nits. Under the hood, there is the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SOC, which is a 7nm chip featuring an integrated 5G modem and the Mali-G57 GPU. This SOC is paired with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage non-expandable.

Realme X7 has a 4,310mAh battery and supports 50W SuperDart charging. Interestingly, Realme provided a 65W adapter in the box, even though the phone doesn’t support charging at that much power. Speaking of the cameras, there are three on the back that includes a primary 64MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. There is a 16 Megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor on the front.

Finally, Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 10 runs out of the box.

Realme X7 Pro is a premium mid-range phone and hence features an AG Glass back that looks gorgeous. There is also VC Liquid cooling, Stereo speakers, a Quad camera setup, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and more. On the front, there is a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch-sampling-rate, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. Under the hood, it packs the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SOC, which was MediaTek’s flagship chipset of last year. It is a 7nm chip featuring the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

X7 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery inside and features 65W SuperDart Charging support. Just like the X7, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Quad camera setup includes a primary 64 Megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, a B&W sensor, and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. On the front, there is a 32 Megapixel camera.

Finally, speaking of the pricing of both the phones in India, Realme X7 comes in Nebula and Space Silver colors, and there are two storage options. Here is the pricing –

  • 6GB + 128GB – Rs 19,999
  • 8GB + 128GB  Rs 21,999
