Three months after the launch of Realme X50 Pro, Realme launched a new flagship in China today by the name of Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. It is like a slightly toned-down version of the X50 Pro 5G because the price starts at 2,699 Yuan which is cheaper than the 3,399 Yuan X50 Pro 5G. But still, it retains most of the features of the X50 Pro 5G like the SOC, battery, 65W charging, 90Hz AMOLED etc.
REALME X50 PRO PLAYER EDITION – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
While the layout of the cameras remains the same on the rear, the back panel has a new pattern & there is a different pattern around the camera module as well, which gives it a striking appearance. Like the X50 Pro 5G, there is a dual punch-hole camera cutout on the front.
The phone has a USB Type-C port on the bottom along with the speaker grill and the SIM card tray. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition.
The phone feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset as the Realme X50 Pro, the same 6.44-inch 90Hz AMOLED panel on the front, a 4,200mAh battery and the same 65W Fast Charging. There is a difference in the camera specs.
Both the X50 Pro Player Edition & X50 Pro have Quad cameras on the back & dual cameras on the front. But, while the Realme X50 Pro has a 64 Megapixel primary camera, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has a 48 Megapixel primary camera. There is an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera on the Player Edition & instead of having a telephoto camera as on the X50 Pro, it has a 2 Megapixel macro camera.
On the front, the Player Edition comes with a 16 Megapixel primary camera paired with a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. This is also a downgrade compared to the 32MP + 8MP dual selfie cameras of X50 Pro 5G.
For better cooling, the X50 Pro Player Edition comes with Graphite sheets that are placed between the rear panel and the battery.
