Realme X3 SuperZoom launched in Europe today & it is the latest flagship offering from the brand. While it comes with the last year’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset, Realme went for an older SOC to keep the price as low as possible. Compared to the €599 Realme X50 Pro 5G, the X3 SuperZoom costs €499. For this price, you’re getting the Snapdragon 855+ SOC, a periscope camera with 5X Optical Zoom, 120Hz display & more.
REALME X3 SUPERZOOM – DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
The design of the X3 SuperZoom is, unsurprisingly, similar to any other Realme device. There are Quad cameras on the rear placed vertically on the top left. The fingerprint scanner is on the right side that also acts as the power button and on the front, there is a punch-hole design for the dual selfie cameras.
Realme X3 SuperZoom doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack, so all you get is a USB Type-C port on the bottom placed alongside the speaker grill and the SIM card tray. There is a glass back, and on the official site, Realme says that the company used high-precision Abrasive Etching Technology for a glass back that is anti-glare and Fingerprint-proof.
There is a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD panel on the front & it features 120Hz refresh rate. So, unlike the Realme X50 Pro 5G that has a 90Hz AMOLED, Realme went for a 120Hz LCD on the X3 SuperZoom, again, for reducing the overall cost. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Realme X3 SuperZoom comes with last year’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The Quad camera setup on the rear includes a primary 64 Megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel Periscope lens featuring 5X Optical Zoom, OIS and up to 60X Digital Zoom, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. The Periscope camera is the main highlight of this device due to which it has “SuperZoom” in the name.
The dual selfie cameras include a primary 32 Megapixel shooter paired with a secondary 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.
The X3 SuperZoom comes with a 4,200mAh battery & supports 30W Fast Charging. So in terms of the charging speed as well, Realme went for a slower charging technology compared to the 65W Fast Charging of Realme X50 Pro 5G. Realme UI based on Android 10 runs out of the box.
