At its Annual Tech Summit, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 888 SOC & also announced the smartphone makers that will be launching phones with this chipset next year. Realme is one of those smartphone makers & just after the announcement, Realme announced that its flagship with Snapdragon 888 is codenamed “Race” & will be one of the first phones powered by this chip. We now have the first look at the design of Realme Race from the rear as an image is now circulating online that was first shared by Ishan Agarwal on Twitter. He also shared a screenshot of the “About Phone” page of the device.
So speaking of the design shown in the image, Realme Race has a circular camera module on the back that has four cameras in it. The LED flash is placed outside the camera module. The power button is on the right side & since there is no fingerprint scanner on the rear or on the side, it means the phone has an AMOLED panel & hence an in-display fingerprint reader. The screenshot shows the variant with 12GB RAM & 256GB storage that is running Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. The model number of the phone is “RMX2202”.
Thanks to an image shared by Gadgetsdata on Twitter, we can see that on the front, there is a single hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera & it is placed on the top left corner. The USB Type-C port is there on the bottom alongside the speaker grill & to no surprise, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Well, we don’t have the full spec sheet of the phone yet, but we do have the early details so expect more specs to be revealed soon. Stay Tuned!
