Last year in April, Realme launched the Q3 series in China that included three phones named Q3, Q3i, and Q3 Pro. All three were 5G phones with Snapdragon 750G, Dimensity 700 & Dimensity 1100, respectively. Today, Realme Q5i launched in China, which is the successor to Q3i. The Q5 and Q5 Pro will go official on the 20th of this month in China. Speaking of the Q5i, it starts at ¥1199, which translates to around $189 or ₹14,000. For this price, this phone offers the Dimensity 810 5G SOC, a 5,000mAH battery, 33W charging, and more.
Even though this is a budget phone from the brand, it still has a beautiful design that includes a flat frame and a back panel with a carbon fiber-like pattern. The fingerprint scanner sits on the side and doubles as the power button. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom alongside the USB Type-C port. The phone even has a stereo speaker setup.
On the front, Realme Q5i has a display with a notch on top and a big bottom bezel. This is a 6.58″ 90Hz LCD with 600 nits brightness and FHD+ resolution.
Under the hood, the phone has Dimensity 810 5G SOC, and it is paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The battery size is 5,000mAh, and there is support for 33W fast charging.
As for the cameras, Realme Q5i has a dual-camera setup on the rear. There is a primary 13MP camera with a 2MP sensor for depth information. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter. So, the camera department is pretty average and lacks an ultrawide. Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with Realme UI 3.0.
