Realme Q3 series went official last month in China, which included three phones named the Q3, Q3i, and the Q3 Pro, all of which are 5G devices. Today, Realme launched a new phone under this series named the Q3 Pro Carnival Edition. The phone is different from the Q3 Pro in two major areas – performance and charging speed. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 5G SOC compared to the Dimensity 1100 and 50W fast charging support compared to 30W. The rest of the specs are the same as the Q3 Pro. As far as the pricing is concerned, Realme Q3 Pro Carnival Edition is priced at 1,799 Yuan, and the early bird offer brings the price down to 1,599 Yuan (which was the starting price of Q3 Pro when it launched).
Design-wise, the phone looks quite different from the Realme Q3 Pro, at least from the back. There is a slightly more bold camera module design. There are also two new color options named “Black Forest” and “Castle in the Sky.” The power button has a yellow accent color. So these are the design changes when compared to the Realme Q3 Pro. Apart from these, everything is the same, from the ports to the design on the front.
Speaking of the front, there is a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED panel by Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 360Hz touch-sampling rate. The resolution is Full-HD+, and the peak brightness is 600 nits. Under the hood, Realme Q3 Pro Carnival Edition gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 5G SOC which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Since the type of RAM and storage is not mentioned, it is safe to assume that there is LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 or 2.2 storage.
The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery inside and supports 50W fast charging as well. On the back, there are three cameras that include a primary 64 Megapixel sensor paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide unit and a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 32 Megapixel shooter upfront.
Finally, Realme UI 2.0 runs out of the box, which is based on Android 11.
Realme Q3 Pro Carnival Edition comes in two colors and only one storage option – 8GB + 128GB. As mentioned in the beginning, the price is 1,799 Yuan ($280), and the company is offering an initial discount of 200 Yuan that brings the price down to 1,599 Yuan ($249).
