Realme GT Neo 5 SE to feature a 1.5K 144Hz display

The phone is launching on April 3

Realme GT Neo 5 is the upcoming mid-range phone powered by the company & it is launching on April 3 in the Chinese market with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SOC. While there is still a week left for the unveiling, the company has shared the phone’s design and some features on its Weibo profile.

Design-wise, the GT Neo 5 SE looks identical to the GT Neo 5 except that it lacks the transparent window on the rear & the RGB light. The camera module design is similar. The phone has an under-display fingerprint scanner, and the sides are not flat.

On the front, the phone has a flat display with thin bezels. We hope the device has thin bezels because companies tend to go extreme with their renders. There is a hole punch cutout in the center. Realme has also shared the display specifications, so the phone has a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display on GT Neo 5 SE is the same as GT Neo 5, a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate.

As per Digital Chat Station, Realme GT Neo 5 SE has a 64MP primary camera sensor, an f/1.79 lens & a large 5,500mAh battery. The charging speed is 100W, slower than the 150W or 240W charging of the GT Neo 5.

Finally, as mentioned above, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SOC, which is like an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC. In short, this chip is extremely powerful. This is the same SOC that the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Turbo has. So, it would be interesting to see how these two phones are priced in the Chinese market.
