Remember the Realme GT Neo? If you do not, then let us remind you that in March this year, Realme GT Neo launched in China, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SOC. Later, Realme launched the phone in India with a different name – Realme X7 Max. Now, Realme is preparing to launch the successor of GT Neo, the Realme GT Neo 2. The renders of the phone were shared by OnLeaks recently in collaboration with Digit.in, and they show the design from every angle. Moreover, we also got to know the key specifications of the phone.
In terms of the design, the phone looks kind of similar to the OnePlus 9 series devices. There is a rectangular camera module with two big camera lenses and a third tiny lens. There are also two separate flash modules, most likely for better symmetry. The camera module says “64MP,” so that means there is a primary 64MP sensor. On the front, the phone has a single hole punch cutout on the top left corner.
The GT Neo 2 lacks a headphone jack, so all you get is a Type-C port on the bottom. The lack of a fingerprint scanner on the side means there is one under the display, so it is an OLED panel.
Speaking of the specs that we got to know, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SOC instead of Dimensity 1200. The display on the front is a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a 16 Megapixel camera for selfies. The triple camera module on the back includes a primary 64 Megapixel sensor, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide, and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. So, the cameras on the Realme GT Neo 2 remain the same as on the GT Neo. Finally, there is a 5,000mAh battery, bigger than the 4,500mAh cell inside the GT Neo.
Well, there is no information on the launch date yet, so we expect the phone to launch first in China and then later in other markets.
