Realme GT Neo 2 to launch in India in the first week of October

It is the successor to Realme GT Neo, a phone that launched as Realme X7 Max in India

A few days ago, Realme launched the GT Neo 2 smartphone in the Chinese market with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip and a 120Hz AMOLED. Well, Realme is all set to bring the phone to the Indian market soon, and going by the results of the poll posted by Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme India, on Twitter, the launch in India is happening in early October. So, most likely, we will see Realme launching this phone during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale, which starts on the 3rd of October.

As per a user on Twitter (@yabhishekhd), the launch in India is happening before the 10th of October, which basically means in the first week of October.

Now, while the Realme GT Neo launched in India as the Realme X7 Max, the company will not change the name for the Indian market this time. The reason for this is “GT” series has now replaced the “X” series. Anyways, the Realme GT Neo 2 is a high-end phone featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SOC and a 120Hz Samsung’s E4 AMOLED panel. There is 6/8/12GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of the cameras, you get the same camera setup as on the Realme X7 Max. So, the triple camera setup on the back includes a primary 64MP sensor, a secondary 8MP ultrawide, and a third 2MP macro. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera on the front.

Realme GT Neo 2 has a combination of a 5,000mAh battery and 65W fast charging, something that is first for a Realme device. Android 11 runs out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 running on top.

In China, the phone starts at ¥2499, which translates to around Rs 28,500, so for the Indian market, we can expect the starting price to be under Rs 30,000.
