Realme GT Neo 2 launching on the 22nd of September

We havee already seen the design of it

A couple of weeks ago, we got the renders of Realme GT Neo 2, which is the upcoming high-end phone from the brand. As the name suggests, this phone is the successor to Realme GT Neo, which came to India as the Realme X7 Max and had the Dimensity 1200 5G chip. Now, the company is going to launch the successor, and this time, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SOC, as we got to know the specs via the same source that shared the renders earlier.

Now, Realme has officially announced the launch date for the Chinese market. On its Weibo page, Realme announced that the GT Neo 2 is launching in China on the 22nd of September, which means we still have more than a week left for the launch.

Realme GT Neo 2

If you missed our previous post on this phone, the Realme GT Neo 2 has a different-looking camera module on the back that has a triple camera setup in it, and it also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. But apart from these, everything else remains the same as GT Neo. There is the same flat display on the front with a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner, the same in-display fingerprint scanner, and the same button placement.

In terms of the specs, the phone reportedly has a 6.62-inch 120Hz AMOLED, a 5,000mAh battery, a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup on the back, a 16 Megapixel selfie camera, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. If we compare these specs to those of the Realme GT Neo, you are getting a bigger battery (5,000mAh vs. 4,500mAh), a bigger display (6.62-inch vs. 6.43-inch), and a better SOC (Snapdragon 870 vs. Dimensity 1200). The camera setup remains the same.

The pricing is not yet known, but the Realme GT Neo launched in China for ¥1,799 or $275 only, so we are expecting super aggressive pricing for the Realme GT Neo 2 as well. The starting price is expected to be around ¥1999.
