Realme has already announced its plans to bring back the GT series to the Indian market. The brand has now revealed the name of the first phone to launch under the “GT” series this year in the Indian market. The phone is named the Realme GT 6T, and this will launch as the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SOC in India.
It is worth mentioning that Realme already has a smartphone in its portfolio with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in China, the Realme GT Neo 6 SE. It is highly likely that the same phone is launching in India with a different name.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is the most powerful 7-series chip from Qualcomm and the successor to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. On the AnTuTu benchmark, this SOC scores over 1.5 Million points, similar to some 8-series chipsets. There is a prime Cortex-X4 core in the CPU clocked at 2.8GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz, and three Cortex-A520 cores clocked at up to 1.9GHz. The GPU is the Adreno 732.
If the Realme GT 6T is a rebranded Realme GT Neo 6 SE, then we are looking at a phone with a 6.78-inch 1.5K 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display with 6000 nits peak brightness, a 5,500mAh battery, 100W wired charging, a 50MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, and Android 14.
The launch date is not yet official, but Realme has revealed that the phone is launching this month in India. The price is not known, but based on the specifications, we expect the Realme GT 6T to launch around or under ₹35,000.
