Realme GT 5 was the last flagship phone the brand launched. It was launched in August with up to 240W fast charging support, RGB light on the rear, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and more. The company is now ready to launch the upgraded version, the Realme GT 5 Pro. This one is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and the phone has now shown up on TENAA, which revealed the design and the key specifications.
Design-wise, the phone looks completely different from the Realme GT 5. There is no longer a transparent design on the rear or an RGB light. The camera module is now circular and has a triple camera setup. This camera module looks identical to the one on the Huawei Mate 50 series.
While the Realme GT 5 has a flat display, the GT 5 Pro is getting a curved display.
Speaking of the specifications, the phone has a 6.78-inch 1.5K (2780×1264 pixels) AMOLED display with most probably a 144Hz refresh rate. The chip is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The battery size is listed as “2630mAh,” but that’s because the phone has a dual-cell battery. As per sources, the battery size is 5,400mAh, bigger than the 5,200mAh battery in the GT 5 (150W). This makes the phone heavier and thicker at 220g and 9.2mm, respectively.
If the Realme GT 5 Pro has two versions based on charging speed, the 5,400mAh battery is most likely in the version with slower charging. As per leaks, the phone has 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
Finally, the triple camera setup on the rear has a 50MP + 50MP + 8MP configuration. The images on TENAA reveal a periscope lens for the telephoto camera, and as per leaks, this telephoto camera has a 50MP 1/1.56-inch sensor. If that’s true, the 8MP sensor is for the ultrawide camera.
