Earlier this month, Realme GT 2 Pro launched in the Indian market, which is the current premium flagship by the brand with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. But, in case you do not know, Realme did not launch just the GT 2 Pro in China. There was also a vanilla GT 2. Well, today, Realme GT 2 launched in India as well, and it is like a toned-down version of the GT 2 Pro.

The price starts at 34,999, but the company is offering an instant discount of ₹5000 for HDFC card users, bringing the starting price down to ₹29,999. And after the discount, this definitely becomes the best phone to get under ₹30,000.

Design-wise, it is almost the same phone as Realme GT 2 Pro, with the only exception being the design of the camera module. It is a bit longer, even though it has the same camera count. There are the same three color options where two of them have a back with a paper-like feel since it is made of ISCC-certified Biopolymer. There is a flat display with a hole punch on the top left corner.

In terms of specs, there is a 6.62-inch 120Hz FHD+ AMOLED with 1300 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The SOC is Snapdragon 888, and there is up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The battery size is 5,000mAh, and the phone supports 65W fast charging. You get a 65W adapter in the box.

As for the cameras, Realme GT 2 has three on the back. There is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. The selfie camera has a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor. Finally, Android 12 runs out of the box with Realme UI 3.0 on top.

There are two storage options for the Indian market and here is the price –

  • 8GB + 128GB – ₹34,999
  • 12GB + 256GB – ₹38,999

It will be available starting April 28th, and you can get the phone via Realme India’s website and Flipkart.
