Realme 8s launch in India officially teased by the company

It will be the world's first smartphone powered by Dimensity 810

After the launch of Realme 8, Realme 8 5G & Realme 8 Pro in the Indian market, the company is now ready to launch another phone under this series, the Realme 8s. A month ago, we talked about this phone when the images and the specifications of it leaked out. Now, Realme has officially confirmed that this phone is launching soon in India.

Realme 8s

The company did not reveal the name but shared that this phone would feature the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SOC, making it the world’s first phone with this chipset. Since we already know that Realme 8s has the Dimensity 810, there is no doubt that Realme is teasing the launch of this phone only.

As we know, the phone has a design similar to the Realme 8 5G. There are three cameras on the back, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and a display with a hole punch cutout. The triple camera setup includes a primary 64 Megapixel sensor paired with two 2 Megapixel cameras. So, just as in the case of the Realme 8 5G, there is no ultrawide camera on the 8s. There is a 6.5-inch LCD on the front with a 90Hz refresh rate. The star of the show is definitely the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SOC which, as the name suggests, sits between the Dimensity 800 & the Dimensity 820 when it comes to performance.

It is a chip built on the 6nm fabrication process and has an octa-core CPU featuring Cortex-A76-based cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz. There is Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Realme 8s is coming with 6GB or 8GB RAM, and there is also a Virtual Memory feature to expand the RAM by up to 5GB when needed. Finally, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging as well.

As far as the launch is concerned, this device could launch on the 9th of September as per a Twitter user.
