Both phones have MediaTek chipsets

On the 9th of September, Realme will launch some new gadgets that include its first Android tablet, a couple of new smartphones & more. We know that at least two new phones are launching that day, named the Realme 8i & the Realme 8s. The company has already announced that the 8s is launching as the world’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 810 SOC. Well, now, the full spec sheet of both the 8i & 8s has leaked as it was shared by a user on Twitter (@mdabubakar73709).

Realme 8i & Realme 8s full specs

As the image above reveals, Realme 8i is a budget phone featuring the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, and by the name, it seems like a marginal upgrade over the Helio G95. There is an LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the device packs a 5,000mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging as well. There are three cameras on the back, where the primary camera has a 50 Megapixel sensor, and there are two 2MP sensors. On the front, there is a 16 Megapixel selfie shooter. Since the display is LCD, the fingerprint scanner is on the right side. In terms of the storage options, you get 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of 128GB of storage. There is also the Dynamic RAM Expansion feature that takes some memory from the internal storage when needed.

Coming to the Realme 8s, it comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SOC, and it is said to be the only 6nm-based chipset in its price segment. There is a 90Hz display which is most probably an LCD since the fingerprint scanner sits on the side. The battery size is the same as 8i, i.e., 5,000mAh, but the charging speed is bumped up to 33W. In terms of the cameras, there are three on the back that includes a primary 64 Megapixel sensor and two 2MP sensors. So, here as well, there is no ultrawide camera offered.

The storage options include 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. You get Dynamic RAM Expansion of up to 13GB as well.

We don’t yet know the final price, but the starting price of the Realme 8i is definitely under Rs 15,000, considering the specs. As for the Realme 8s, since it has a 5G chip, we won’t be surprised to see it starting above Rs 15,000 in India.
