Back in September last year, the Realme 7 series went official in the Indian market which included the Realme 7 & Realme 7 Pro as the two main devices. When it launched, the Realme 7 Pro became India’s fastest charging phone alongside the Realme X50 Pro since it offered 65W fast charging support for a starting price of Rs 19,999. Now, Realme is all set to unveil the successors i.e., the Realme 8 & Realme 8 Pro. Realme has been teasing the two phones for a while and today, it announced that the launch will take place in India on the 24th of March. So we still have more than a week left for the unveiling.
Realme 8 Pro will feature a 108 Megapixel sensor which is eventually going to make it the second phone under Rs 20,000 in India to feature a 108MP camera sensor after the recently launched Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The 8 Pro features a back made using the AG-Crystal process and it is slimmer than the Realme 7 Pro at 8.1mm and also lighter at 176 grams.
The CEO of Realme, Madhav Sheth, had already revealed the key specs of the Realme 8 so in case you missed that, the phone has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset. There is a 5,000mAh battery and the phone supports 30W fast charging. The Quad camera setup on the back includes a primary 64 Megapixel sensor.
The 8 Pro is not much different when compared to the Realme 8, at least when it comes to the design. It has the same square-shaped camera module with four lenses, and a flat-screen with a single hole-punch cutout on the top left corner. The main USP of this phone is its 108 Megapixel primary rear camera. This camera sensor is paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide and two 2 Megapixel sensors. It also supports 50W SuperDart charge, with some sources claiming that a 65W adapter will be provided in theb ox. For comparison, Realme 7 Pro offered 65W fast charging support.
