Realme 5s confirmed to launch with Snapdragon 665 SOC

A couple of days back, we first got to know a couple of details of the Realme 5s that is launching on November 20 alongside the flagship Realme X2 Pro. We already know that the phone features a 48 Megapixel primary rear camera, a 6.5-inch display & a 5,000mAh battery. Now, Flipkart has revealed a couple of other details related to the device.

First, the 6.51-inch display is an HD+ panel, which means there is no upgrade over the Realme 5 in terms of the display size & resolution. This phone is going to compete with the Redmi Note 8 in India & that phone has a Full-HD+ display. So, the HD+ panel on the 5s seems to be a major con when you compare it to the Redmi Note 8.

While it was already rumored, now we can confirm that Realme 5s has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SOC, which is the same SOC that powers the Realme 5 & Redmi Note 8. So, in terms of the SOC, there is no change at all.

As we already know, there is a Quad camera setup on the rear & this time, we have a 48 Megapixel Samsung sensor on the rear like on Redmi Note 8. There is a 5,000mAh battery as well, which is one of the main USP of the Realme 5.

So, when you compare the Realme 5s to Redmi Note 8, you will see that a lot of specifications are the same. For example, both smartphones have Snapdragon 665 SOC, both have a Quad camera setup on the rear with a primary 48MP Samsung sensor, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP Depth sensor & a 2MP macro lens, & the design of both phones is also the same.
