Yesterday, we got to know via Flipkart that Realme 5s is launching soon in India. Today, Flipkart revealed a couple of details related to the phone as we got to know that there is a 48 Megapixel primary rear camera & a 5,000mAh battery. So, now it’s pretty much clear that this is Realme’s reply to the Redmi Note 8.
The teaser page for the phone on Flipkart revealed that just like the Realme 5, there is a Quad camera setup on the rear. But instead of the main 12 Megapixel camera on the Realme 5, the Realme 5s comes with a 48 Megapixel camera. Now, this is going to be a Samsung sensor & not a Sony one.
As we can see, the phone comes in a new Red color as well, which is not the case with Realme 5. Just like the Realme 5, the 5s has a 5,000mAh battery. As per leaks, there is Snapdragon 665 SOC, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera on the rear, a third 2MP depth sensor & a 2MP macro lens. There is a 6.5-inch HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 3+ & the base variant has 4GB RAM along with 64GB ROM.
So, it is just the Realme 5 but with a 48 Megapixel camera. This is similar to what Redmi did by launching Redmi Note 7S, which is just the Redmi Note 7 but with 48MP Samsung sensor.
The pricing is not yet known, but it would lie somewhere around Rs 10-11K in India.
