At the end of July, Realme announced that it is now a standalone brand. Also, Oppo’s Vice President (Sky Li) resigned to become the Global CEO of Realme. Realme 1, the first smartphone from the company, is still the best that you can get under Rs 10,000 in India. The Helio P60 processor is the most powerful chipset in that segment, and the benchmarks show that it is better than even the Snapdragon 636 regarding the CPU performance. Still, Realme 1 isn’t a perfect device as it has a lot of flaws like no fingerprint scanner, not so good face unlock, average rear camera, etc.
It is already confirmed officially that the company will be launching Realme 2 soon and Realme 3,4 and 5 are in the works. Today, the render of the Realme 2 was spotted on official site, giving us the very first look at the device.

The Realme 2 retains the diamond cut back design from the Realme 1 but adds all the features we missed on the Realme 1. So, there is now a fingerprint scanner on the rear, below the dual camera setup. On the front, the phone has a 19:9 display, thanks to a notch on top. We are expecting a Glass back on the phone as it is going to be priced higher than the first generation for sure. We cannot confirm if the phone runs on Color OS or not, but we’re sure that there isn’t stock Android. Maybe the company will launch the device with its unannounced custom skin.
We don’t know anything about the specifications yet & same is the case with the pricing. The launch is rumored to happen on August 26.
