Realme 2 Pro with waterdrop notch teased in an official video

At the launch event on Realme 2, the company teased the Realme 2 Pro, a competitor to the current best budget smartphones in India like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Zenfone Max Pro M1, and the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The launch is happening on September 27, and we are expecting some great specifications at a budget-friendly price. Recently, the company teased the smartphone in a video uploaded to the official channel.

The video shows the Realme 2 Pro with no diamond cut design like the Realme 1 and 2. There are chances that like the Realme 1, we will see a diamond cut design on only a couple of color variants. The design from the rear is similar to the design of Realme 2. So, there is a dual camera setup with a single LED flash and below that is the fingerprint scanner. It is not confirmed yet if there is glass on the rear or the company is using plastic this time as well.

On the front, the phone has a 19:9 display with a waterdrop notch, which we have seen on phones like the Oppo F9, F9 Pro, R17 and more. Some sources claim that the Realme 2 Pro will be a rebranded Oppo A7x, which launched recently. The Oppo A7x has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display with a waterdrop notch, Helio P60 processor, 3,500mAh battery, 16P + 2MP dual rear cameras, and a 16MP front camera. We don’t think it will be a good choice to launch the Realme 2 Pro with the same Helio P60 processor that we had on the Realme 1. Something like Snapdragon 636 or 660 will be a better choice.

There are still 10 days left for the official launch so expect some more teasers from the company which will reveal more information about the device.
