Last month, the Realme 12 Pro & Realme 12 Pro+ were launched in India, featuring a premium design and impressive camera hardware. These are premium mid-range phones, with the Realme 12 Pro starting at ₹25,999, and the 12 Pro+ at ₹29,999. The company is now preparing to launch another phone in this series, the Realme 12+ 5G. This is the first non-Pro phone under Realme’s number series to have the “Plus” moniker.
The company has not officially revealed the name, but it is already confirmed that the phone is indeed the Realme 12+ 5G, as it is launching soon in other markets, including Malaysia. One thing that can be said by looking at the teasers is that the phone has a similar design language as the Realme 12 Pro series i.e., a vegan leather finish on the back and a circular camera module.
The phone is launching in at least two colors – Green & Gold. There is a triple camera setup on the rear, and the phone has OIS for the primary camera. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, while the ultrawide camera gets an 8MP sensor. Unlike the Pro models, there is no telephoto camera on the Realme 12+ 5G. Under the hood, the phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. This is the same SOC which powered last year’s Realme 11 Pro series, Lava Agni 2, Narzo 60 Pro, Oppo Reno 10, and more.
There is a 6.7-inch 120Hz flat AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.
Well, based on the specifications, the starting price should be under ₹20,000 in the Indian market. The launch is not yet official.
