PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate 40 RS rear panel & camera specs leaked

On the 22nd of October Huawei will unveil its Mate 40 Series & like every year, we are also getting the premium & top of the line PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS. Well today, the design of the phone from the rear was revealed as an image showing the rear panel of it leaked. And that’s not it! We also got to know the rear camera specs of the phone.

PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS

As the image above shows, the PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS has a massive octagonal camera module that houses all of the sensors & the LED flash. There is a vertical strip running down from the camera module that contains the “PORSCHE DESIGN” & the “HUAWEI” branding. We didn’t get to see the front of the phone, but we are expecting a hole-punch design that includes a long pill-shaped cutout for the selfie cameras.

Talking about the camera specs, there are five sensors in total so there is a 50 Megapixel primary sensor (most likely the same sensor present on the P40 Series), a second 20 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with the “Free Form Tech”, a third 8 Megapixel telephoto lens with 3X Optical Zoom, another 8 Megapixel telephoto lens with 10X Optical Zoom & finally a Time of Flight sensor.

Apart from these, there is also a Color Temperature Sensor, a Temperature Measuring sensor & also the LED Flash.

Well, the Huawei P40 Pro+ has similar camera specs except for the fact that the P40 Pro+ has a 40 Megapixel ultrawide camera whereas the PORSCHE DESIGN Huawei Mate 40 RS comes with a 20MP sensor.

We don’t have the full spec sheet yet, but we are sure the phone has the same Kirin 9000 SOC that powers other Mate 40 Series flagships.
