Poco X4 Pro hands-on images surface online along with the specs

It is just a rebadged Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G

Among all the phones Poco has launched in the past couple of years, apart from a few, all of them were just rebranded Redmi devices. The Poco X3 Pro of last year was one such phone from the brand that was not a rebranded version of an already existing Redmi phone. It brought a flagship Snapdragon 860 SOC at a price of just EUR 249 (under 20K in India). Poco will launch the successor to this phone soon, and it is named the Poco X4 Pro.

So far, all the reports have suggested that the X4 Pro is just a rebadged Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G that is already available globally. Today, we got a confirmation on the same as the specifications as well as the hands-on images of the phone were shared by a German website named SmartDroid. The page has been taken down now for some reason, but the images are all over social media now.

Design-wise, Poco has added its signature design on the back, where the camera module extends all the way to the other side and has the POCO branding on it as well. The back is made of glass this time, and so is the camera module. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a stereo speaker setup where the secondary speaker is present on the top. There is a flat display on the front with a centered hole punch cutout.

In terms of specs, this phone is no different than the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. There is a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 695 5G SOC, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The triple camera array on the back includes a main 108MP HM2 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.

Well, compared to the Poco X3 Pro, this phone is definitely a downgrade when we talk about performance because the X3 Pro had Snapdragon 860 storage, but the X4 Pro has Snapdragon 695 5G, which is a mid-range 5G SOC. Moreover, UFS 3.1 storage for the X3 Pro, whereas the X4 Pro has UFS 2.2 storage.

But as we know, apart from performance, there wasn’t anything exceptional about X3 Pro. It had a high-refresh-rate panel, but that was an LCD and an average camera setup. There was a plastic back and also a plastic frame. The Poco X4 Pro feels like a more balanced phone because even though the performance gets a downgrade, it still has a glass back, a 120Hz AMOLED, a better camera setup, and also faster charging.

Anyways, Poco is yet to announce when it is going to launch the phone. It is said that in India, the Poco X4 Pro is coming with a 64MP sensor, instead of 108MP.
