The Poco M6 Pro 5G was launched in the Indian market in August last year with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, and it has a rebranded Redmi 12 5G. Today, the brand launched its successor in India, the Poco M7 Pro 5G. This time, it is a rebrand of the recently launched Redmi Note 14 5G.
Design-wise, the Poco M7 Pro 5G looks completely different from the Redmi Note 14 5G. The M7 Pro 5G has a unique dual-tone finish on the rear. There is a square camera module with two circles versus three circles on the Redmi Note 14 5G. The Poco branding is there in the camera module. The phone has a flat frame, and there is a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. The phone has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an IP64 rating, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Speaking of specifications, the Poco M7 Pro 5G has a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2100 nits peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. The chipset is the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-ULTRA, and there is 6GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage. The phone has a 5,110mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging.
Coming to the cameras, there is a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and an f/1.5 aperture lens. The second camera has a 2MP sensor. So, the phone misses the 8MP ultrawide camera that we have on the Redmi Note 14 5G. The selfie camera has a 20MP sensor.
Finally, the Poco M7 Pro 5G runs on Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box and will get two OS updates.
There are three color options – Lavender Frost, Lunar Dust, and Olive Twilight. Here is the pricing for the Indian market –
- 6GB + 128GB – ₹14,999
- 8GB + 256GB -₹16,999
For comparison, the Redmi Note 14 5G starts at ₹18,999, so that’s a difference of ₹4,000. So, if you were planning to go for the Redmi Note 14 5G, it is better to opt for the Poco M7 Pro 5G instead.
