Release Date

Starting Price
$199

Alongside the Poco X6 series, which includes two 5G phones, the brand also launched a budget phone named the Poco M6 Pro in the global market. This one is a non-5G phone, starting at $199. Don’t confuse this phone with the Poco M6 Pro 5G, which was launched in India in August last year with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset.

Poco M6 Pro

The Poco M6 Pro has a beautiful design. The phone comes in three colors, all with a two-tone design on the back. There are three cameras on the rear but no camera island. The phone has flat sides and stereo speakers. It is the first phone with an under-display fingerprint scanner in the “M” series. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and an IR blaster.

Under the hood, the Poco M6 Pro has the MediaTek Helio G99-ULTRA chipset. As the name suggests, it is a slightly better version of the Helio G99, which powered the Poco M5. The company claims over 450,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. There is LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.

The battery is 5,000mAh and the phone supports 67W fast charging, making it the fastest-charging “M” series phone from the brand. The 67W adapter comes in the box.

Poco M6 Pro

On the back, the Poco M6 Pro has three cameras. The primary camera has a 64MP 1/2″ sensor with OIS, making it the first “M” series phone with OIS. The second camera takes ultrawide photos and has an 8MP sensor. The third 2MP sensor takes macro shots. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera.

The display on the front is a 6.67-inch AMOLED with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, Full-HD+ resolution, 1920Hz PWM dimming, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and 10-bit colors. This is also the first time an “M” series phone has a 120Hz display.

Finally, MIUI 14 runs out of the box, meaning Android 13.
