[Update – Launch Date] Poco M4 Pro coming soon to India, launch teased by the company

The phone launched globally in November last year

UPDATE – Poco has officially revealed that the launch is happening on the 15th of February in India.

It has been a while since we got a new phone from Poco in the Indian market. Well, Poco is now all set to launch a new phone in the Indian market, and the company has started teasing the launch on its social media handles. Looking at the teasers, it looks like the Poco M4 Pro 5G is making its way to India two months after its initial launch in the global market.

As the name suggests, this is the successor to Poco M3 Pro 5G that launched last year in India with the Dimensity 700 5G SOC. Speaking of the upgrades, the M4 Pro brings an upgraded chip as there is the Dimensity 810 SOC under the hood. This is the same SOC that powers the Redmi Note 11T 5G, already available to buy in India. The M4 Pro is just a rebadged Redmi Note 11T 5G, so, interestingly, we are getting the same phone but under a different brand.

Poco M4 Pro 5G has a 6.6-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is a 5,000mAh battery and support for 33W fast charging. The phone has a dual-camera setup on the back, where the primary camera has a 50MP sensor, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP shooter.

Finally, MIUI 12.5 runs out of the box, which is based on Android 11. Some other features include a stereo speaker setup, IR Blaster, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc.

We do not know at what price the phone is coming to India but considering the Redmi Note 11T 5G’s price tag of ₹16,999, we are expecting the Poco M4 Pro 5G to launch at around ₹15K. For comparison, the Poco M3 Pro 5G launched at ₹13,999 in India last year.
