Last month, Poco launched the M3 Pro 5G in Europe with a unique rear design, a Dimensity 700 5G SOC, a 90Hz display, and more for a starting price of €179. Today, that phone made its way to India, and it starts at Rs 13,999. The specifications and the design remain the same for the Indian market.
It is worth mentioning that this isn’t some new phone from Poco as this is just a rebrand of the Redmi Note 10 5G. What’s different is the design on the back. There is a two-tone look where the area around the camera module has black color, whereas the rest of the rear and the sides are painted differently. The Poco branding is there in that Black region as well. There is also the small 5G logo on the bottom that shows it is a 5G phone. Apart from the color options, everything else is the same as the Note 10 5G. There is a hole-punch display on the front, a triple camera setup on the rear, and a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The display on the front is a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch-sampling rate. It is worth noticing that in the European market, it comes with a 720p panel, so it is a good thing that Poco went for a 1080p panel for the Indian variant. The display also has Gorilla Glass protection.
The triple camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48 Megapixel shooter paired with two 2MP sensors, one for depth information and the other for macro shots. There is an 8 Megapixel selfie shooter.
Poco went for the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SOC for this phone which is paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Finally, the Poco M3 Pro 5G has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. In the box, you get a 22.5W adapter.
In India, Poco M3 Pro launched in Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black colors. The 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 13,999 whereas the 6GB + 128GB variant at Rs 15,999. The Early Bird offer, which is applicable on the 14th of June, reduces the prices by Rs 500, so you can get the base variant for Rs 13,499.
Well, if 5G is something you are inclined towards, then you can buy this phone but do keep in mind that if 5G is not your thing at the moment, then spending a bit extra gets you the Redmi Note 10 Pro which is definitely a much better choice. The first sale is on the 14th of June on Flipkart.
