Poco F3 GT officially confirmed, to feature Dimensity 1200

So there shouldn't be any doubt regarding it being a rebranded Redmi K40 Gaming Edition!

A month ago, we reported that Poco would launch a new phone in India, which is going to be a rebrand of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which launched in China. Well, today, Poco officially announced that the company is going to launch the Poco F3 GT in India in the third quarter of this year. Along with the name, Poco also revealed that this phone would be powered by the Dimensity 1200 5G SOC. So with this announcement, it is now confirmed that this phone is indeed a rebrand of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.

Poco F3 GT

The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition launched with the Dimensity 1200 5G chipset and a 120Hz flexible OLED with FHD+ resolution, 8,192 levels of brightness control, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There are also physical shoulder buttons on the side that can be activated by the sliders provided alongside them.

Poco F3 GT, being a rebrand of K40 Gaming Edition, will have the same specifications. So, there is a triple camera setup on the rear, which includes a primary 64 Megapixel camera paired with an 8 Megapixel ultrawide unit and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. On the front, there is a 20 Megapixel selfie shooter. There is a big 5,065mAh cell underneath, which can be charged rapidly, thanks to the 67W fast charging support.

So, after this announcement, the main question is regarding the pricing. We know that so far, Poco has been very aggressive in terms of pricing its phones in India. The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition launched at a starting price of 1,999 Yuan or Rs 22,999 in China, so, in the Indian market, we can expect the Poco F3 GT to start at around Rs 25-26K. This is also because of the fact that from Rs 29,999, there is the Mi 11X available to buy.
