In 2020, all that Poco has done is the rebranding of already launched phones under the Redmi brand. It all started with the Poco X2 which launched in India as a rebranded Redmi K30 4G. At that time, we thought the Redmi devices would launch under Poco brand in India, but later, the company launched Poco M2 & Poco M2 Pro which were the rebrand of the Redmi 9 Prime & Redmi Note 9 Pro respectively, both of which were already there in the Indian market.
Now, Poco is all set to launch another phone in India named the Poco C3 & to no surprise, this is a rebrand of the Redmi 9C. Now, it is worth mentioning that in India, the Redmi 9C went official as the Redmi 9 & with dual cameras whereas the Poco C3 is coming with the triple camera setup. So, it is the same phone as the one launched in markets like Malaysia.
The only thing that differentiates it from the Redmi 9C is that it has the same dual-tone design on the rear as on other Poco devices such as the Poco M2 & the Poco M2 Pro. So there is a smooth finish on the top & a textured finish on the bottom. The POCO branding is there under the triple camera setup.
Assuming that there is no change at all in the specs, the Poco C3 features a 6.53-inch HD+ panel & the MediaTek Helio G35 SOC. There are triple rear cameras that include a primary 13 Megapixel shooter paired with a 2 Megapixel macro & a 2 Megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 5 Megapixel selfie shooter. Finally, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery & supports 10W Charging.
We don’t know the exact pricing, but the price will remain well under Rs 10,000.
