Oppo Reno3 to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L 5G Modem

The Oppo Reno3 lineup is launching on December 26th & we already know how the Reno3 & Reno3 Pro look like since the company has already revealed the design. Moreover, we know that the Reno3 Pro has Snapdragon 765G SOC, which is the chipset we are going to see powering a lot of upcoming 5G mid-rangers. Now, the non-Pro Reno3 is also coming with 5G support, but the SOC powering it is not from Qualcomm.

Instead, it will feature a MediaTek SOC since Oppo has revealed on its official site that the Reno3 has MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L 5G Modem. This means the SOC powering the device is also from MediaTek. There are some sources claiming that the SOC is MediaTek MT6885, which recently scored around 380K on AnTuTu Benchmark.

Above are the official press renders of Oppo Reno3 from the official site in all the colors. As we can see, the phone has a Waterdrop notch on the front instead of a punch-hole like its bigger brother, the Reno3 Pro. There are Quad cameras on the back with a primary 64 Megapixel shooter. The phone has a 4,035mAh battery as well, which is slightly bigger than the Reno3 Pro’s 4,025mAh battery.
