Oppo Reno Ace 2 specs revealed in a TENAA listing

Yesterday the Oppo Reno Ace showed up on TENNA, and we got to know the design of the phone via the images shared on the Chinese certification agency. The images revealed a punch-hole display on the front with a single selfie camera & a circular camera module on the rear with Quad cameras in it.

Now, the specifications of the phone were revealed via TENAA.

As per TENAA, the Reno Ace 2 features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ resolution. While it was not revealed in the listing, the phone is most likely to retain the 90Hz refresh rate of the last year’s Reno Ace. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G SOC paired with 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM & 128/256GB storage.

The Quad camera setup on the rear includes a primary 48-megapixel camera, a secondary 8 Megapixel ultrawide camera, a third 2 Megapixel camera (Macro) & a fourth 2 Megapixel camera (Depth). There is a 16 Megapixel selfie camera. If these are indeed the camera specs of the Oppo Reno Ace 2, then the phone is a downgrade in terms of the camera department when compared to the last year’s Reno Ace.

The Reno Ace of last year had a 13 Megapixel telephoto camera as well, but that’s missing on the successor. The telephoto camera is replaced by a Macro camera & the rest of the camera specs are the same.

Finally, there is a 4,000mAh battery (Dual 1,955mAh) & 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging. We also know that there is 40W Fast Wireless Charging support as well. Android 10 runs out of the box with ColorOS 7 on top.

Well, looking at the specifications, it looks like this is a device that would compete with the Redmi K30 Pro (not the Zoom Edition). The Oppo Reno Ace launched in India last year as the Realme X2 Pro, so this time as well we are expecting it to launch as the Realme X3 Pro in India to take on the Poco F2 (Redmi K30 Pro).

The Reno Ace 2 is launching next month in China.
