Oppo Reno 7 & Reno 7 Pro – Here are the official images

Oppo likes to upgrade its Reno series half-yearly and continuing this launch timeline, the company is all set to unveil the Reno 7 series. As the name suggests, this will be an upgrade over the Reno 6 series that launched in May this year with three phones under it.

The Oppo Reno 7 series is launching on the 25th of November in China which means just a couple of days are now left for the launch. Well, we now have the renders of Reno 7 & Reno 7 Pro in various colors, thanks to Evan Blass.

Speaking of the Oppo Reno 7 first, this phone has the same flat sides as the Reno 5 so that same premium look continues with the new series. The camera module on the back gets a new design so while it is still having a rectangular shape, there is a two-tone design. So, it seems like half the portion is having a matte finish whereas the other half has a shiny finish. There are three cameras on the back.

There are at least three color options so first, we have a gradient Blue color, then we have a gradient gold color, and finally a Black color option. The phone lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oppo seems to work very hard on the design of its Reno series of phones and we can see that in elements such as the speaker grill design or the green accent in the power button on the right side.

On the front, there is a flat display and the renders show that the bezels are extremely thin. We hope that’s the case in real life as well. The selfie camera is in a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner.

Next, we have the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, the successor to Reno 6 Pro. Interestingly, this one also has flat sides, something that was not the case with Reno 6 Pro. This is because the Reno 6 Pro had a screen with curved sides but there is a flat panel on the Reno 7 Pro.

The rest of the design looks similar to the Reno 7 with the only exception being a fourth circle in the camera module which does not look like a camera sensor if we look closely.

The color options are also the same as for the Reno 7.

Well, when it comes to the specifications, we know that the vanilla Reno 7 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SOC whereas the Reno 7 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 1200-MAX SOC. Both these phones have a 4,500mAh battery along with 65W fast charging support.

The camera setups are quite different. The Reno 7 has a 64 Megapixel primary sensor, a 16 Megapixel ultrawide & a 2MP depth sensor. On the other hand, the Reno 7 Pro gets a more flagship-grade camera setup including a main 50 Megapixel sensor (expected to be the Samsung GN5), a 64 Megapixel ultrawide, and a 13 Megapixel telephoto with 2X optical zoom.

In terms of the display, both phones have the same 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED but while it has a 120Hz refresh rate on the Reno 7 Pro, the display refreshes only 90 times every second in the case of the Reno 7.

Well, like always, we are expecting Oppo to launch the Reno 7 series in the global market soon after launching it in China on the 25th of November.
