The Oppo Reno 13 series has launched in the Chinese market, and this is the successor to the Oppo Reno 12 series, which was launched in May. The “Reno” series phones have always been known for design, and this new series is no exception. This time too, we have two phones – Oppo Reno 13 & Reno 13 Pro.

OPPO RENO 13

OPPO RENO 13

Starting with the vanilla model, the Oppo Reno 13 has a flat metal frame and a glass back. On the front, there is a flat screen with slim bezels. Oppo says the top bezel is 1.64mm and the side bezels are 1.65mm. The phone is quite lightweight at 7.24mm and weighs as little as 181g. The phone is IP68 & IP69 rated.

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 13 has the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This chipset is built on the TSMC’s 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores. The CPU goes up to 3.35GHz, and Oppo claims an AnTuTu score of over 1.4 Million. Despite a slim and lightweight design, the phone has a big 5,600mAh battery with 80W fast wired charging.

The display is a 6.59-inch AMOLED with a 10-bit color depth, 1.5K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.

Speaking of cameras, the phone has a dual camera setup on the rear. The primary camera has a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, and the ultrawide camera has an 8MP sensor. The selfie camera has a 50MP sensor with autofocus.

Finally, the phone runs on ColorOS 15 out of the box.

OPPO RENO 13 PRO

OPPO RENO 13 PRO

Coming to the Oppo Reno 13 Pro, it looks identical to the Reno 13. The phone has the same flat metal frame, a glass back, IP68 and IP69 rating. While the display is flat, the glass on top is curved on all four sides, unlike the Reno 13, which has a completely flat glass on top. The phone has the same MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset but a slightly larger 5,800mAh battery. Moreover, the phone supports 50W wireless charging on top of 80W wired charging.

And that’s pretty much all that’s different in the Pro model.
