Oppo had a big launch event today in China, where the company launched its Find X6 series & some other stuff. One of the launches includes the successor of the Oppo Pad. The Oppo Pad was launched with Snapdragon 870 last year & today, the company launched Oppo Pad 2. The brand went the MediaTek route this year, so the Pad 2 is powered by a Dimensity 9000 chip. This chip also powers the Oppo Find X6.
The design will look familiar because this tablet is no different than the OnePlus Pad. All that’s different is the name & the branding. The tablet has a unibody metal design & is quite sleek at 6.54mm. There are Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
On the front, Oppo Pad 2 has a large 11.61-inch 10-bit LTPS LCD with 2800 × 2000 pixels resolution & up to 144Hz refresh rate. The brightness of this panel is 500 nits, and the pixel density is 296PPI. One interesting thing to note is the aspect ratio. The 7:5 aspect ratio means more display area on top and bottom when using the tablet in landscape.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip handles the performance, paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The battery size is 9510mAh, and there is 67W fast charging support. There is a 13MP rear camera with autofocus & an 8MP front camera with fixed focus.
The Oppo Pad 2 supports extra accessories, such as the Oppo Pencil, Smart touch keyboard, Smart case, etc.
And finally, Android 13-based ColorOS runs out of the box.
Oppo Pad 2 comes in two colors & here is the pricing for China –

- 12GB + 25G6GB – ¥3399 (~$494)
